Richard Zegarra

Richard is Ethan’s father and is the President and a founding member of Ethan’s Purpose Foundation. Richard works as an Emergency Department physician with TeamHealth. In his spare time, Richard enjoys home improvement projects and going hunting on his farm.

Debbie Zegarra

Debbie is Ethan’s mother and is a founding member and driving force behind Ethan’s Purpose Foundation. Debbie recently retired from teaching special education at North Pointe Elementary so she can dedicate more time to Ethan’s Purpose. She currently serves on Boone County School’s Mental Health Task Force in order to remain active in the schools. To relax, Debbie enjoys working out, baking, crafting and working in the yard.

angie blasingame

Angie is a Coordinator in the office of Student Financial Assistance at Northern Kentucky University helping students and parents navigate the options of funding a college education. Spending most of her working career in the non-profit sector, Angie’s passion lies in helping others best utilize available resources. Angie’s hidden talents include photography, cooking and creative projects.

 

christie mcdonald

Christie has been a high school business and math educator for 27 years, and currently serves as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes moderator at Bellevue High School. She sees the struggles of teenagers on a daily basis and has a passion for helping students find their purpose in life. Christie is a dedicated mother to three wonderful kids, loves watching them play sports, family game nights and traveling.


Drew mcdonald

Drew is Ethan’s cousin and a founding member of Ethan’s Purpose Foundation. He serves as the tournament director for the annual '“3 on 3 for E” basketball tournament. Drew works as a marketing representative for Patient Aids. As a former NKU basketball player, Drew follows the Norse and enjoys a good day on the golf course.

Teresa Haney

Recently retired from Thornwilde Elementary, Teresa has become more involved with Ethan’s Purpose because education and making a difference in people’s lives comes naturally to Teresa. She and her husband, Kenny, are involved with young adults at their church, and Teresa continues to tutor and work with the youth in our community. Teresa is passionate about helping young people deal with mental health problems and works seamlessly with the counselors and school guidance counselors to facilitate the small groups in each school.

 

KRISTA CAMPBELL

Krista is a Psychology professor at Gateway Community and Technical College. She has also taught Psychology at Thomas More University and, in a dual credit capacity, at several local high schools. In this role, she sees the unique mental health challenges that young people face today and, as Mr. Rogers might say, is committed to being one of the helpers. Krista enjoys exercise, running, hiking, traveling (especially to our wonderful National Parks), and dogs - all the dogs. She and her husband, John, live in Hebron and have three sons.
